Supporting Your Child with Special Needs Bookclub In-Person

Join other caregivers and meet local author and special education teacher Rachel Jorgensen. Each meeting we'll discuss a few chapters from her book Supporting your child with special needs: 50 fundamental tools for families and Rachel will be there to answer questions you may have.

This book club is geared toward parents/caregivers.  There is a concurrent program for teens to hang out at the library while their adult is in the book club.  If you'd like to bring your teen to participate in fun activities while you're in the book club, please register them for the teen program here: https://anokacounty.libcal.com/event/10551345

Rachel Jorgensen is a special educator, college instructor, and educational writer with a special interest in empowering learners with special needs. She has spent nearly 20 years in the special education classroom and continues to enjoy her daily work with her students. She is also the owner of Learn & Thrive Consulting, an organization dedicated to supporting special educators and families.

Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs.  Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations as outlined here. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate.
