Adaptive Program: Artist Trading Cards In-Person

This adaptive class is for teens with disabilities.  Participants will be paired with a peer buddy with the goal of connecting teens with and without disabilities to learn, socialize, and have fun together.

  • A parent or caregiver should stay in the library while their teen participates in the program.
  • If you are a teen interested in being a peer buddy for this program, please register here: https://anokacounty.libcal.com/event/10696620

Develop your own limited edition trading cards and swap them with your friends! Learn how to use watercolor pencils to draw, paint, blend, and layer a set of collectable artist cards.  The instructor will show examples for all projects being made during the class and start off the class by sharing what will happen during the class. Each step of the project will be shown first by the instructor and projected digitally on a screen.  Participants will learn how to use watercolor pencils to create their trading cards, using both the pencils and paint brushes to create different techniques. Instructor will be present during the whole class to assist, encourage and support each participants creativity.
