Hand Spinning with Shetland Wool In-Person
Take your fiber arts to a whole new level by learning how to spin your very own yarn! In this class we will get to use fleece from a local, purebred shetland sheep name Duke. We will get the unique opportunity to learn about the art of fiber processing, Then our teaching artist will show us how to use a drop spindle to create simple two ply yarn. Our first spin will be a rustic adventure in texture and twist- we will wind up with a truly unique yarn as well as enough skill and knowledge to continue a further spinning practice on our own!
