Medicare 101 In-Person

Are you turning 65 soon and want an overview of Medicare? This presentation introduces Parts A, B, C and D of Medicare, as well as what additional insurance options are available. The enrollment process and options for enrollment in Medicare will be discussed along with the personal costs of the program and eligibility for extra help with prescription drug costs. We will introduce the services of the Senior LinkAge Line® that include assistance making personal comparisons using the Medicare.gov website and the Health Care Choices booklet, published by the Minnesota Board on Aging. This program is presented in partnership with Trellis, the Twin Cities Metro agency on aging.

Trellis provides services, connections and innovations to help people thrive as they age. Through partnerships with community organizations and healthcare organizations, they work to bridge social care and medical care to produce more positive outcomes for individuals and communities. They are committed to reducing disparities in access and ensuring equity and inclusivity.

Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations as outlined here. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate.
