2024 Featured Author Fair with Keynote Speaker Curtis Sittenfeld In-Person
Join the Library for the 7th annual Local Author Fair, where attendees can connect with the selected 2024 Featured Local Authors from their community and purchase their books. The event is kicked off by keynote speaker Curtis Sittenfeld at 10:15am. A New York Times bestselling novelist Curtis Sittenfeld is a master of romance, coming-of-age stories, and the tender phase of life where the two converge. Her debut, Prep, chronicles the fraught social politics in a posh New England boarding school and, in the words of fellow author Jennifer Egan, “invites us inside the fearsome echo chamber of adolescent self-consciousness.” Sittenfeld’s more recent novels include Eligible, a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice set against the improbable backdrop of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Rodham, an alternate history political novel about Hillary Clinton. Her latest, Romantic Comedy, is set in world of late-night sketch comedy. Jaded sketch writer Sally Milz has sworn off love – until a pop star walks onto her sound stage and rewrites the script. Seating is limited.
