Mindy Mejia is a CPA and a graduate of the Hamline University MFA program. Her debut novel, The Dragon Keeper, was published by Ashland Creek Press in 2012. She lives in the Twin Cities with her family, and is the author of Strike Me Down, Everything You Want Me to Be, Leave No Trace, and To Catch a Storm. Mejia’s newest title, A World of Hurt (coming out on August 6th) is “a direct follow-up to her USA Today bestseller To Catch a Storm, which launched her Iowa Mysteries series… Grounded in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic at the convergence of the Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police protests, A World of Hurt is set in the same universe as To Catch a Storm yet acts like a standalone focusing wholly on a new unlikely investigative duo.”
