Adaptive Teen Cooking In-Person

This adaptive class is for teens with disabilities. Participants will be paired with a peer buddy with the goal of connecting teens with and without disabilities to learn, socialize, and have fun together. This month we will be making soft pretzels and apple nachos.

A parent or caregiver should stay in the library while their teen participates in the program.

The Curiosity Kitchen is a mobile kitchen program using Charlie Carts - compact, mobile kitchens - that allow youth to connect food and cooking with math, English language arts, science, and social studies concepts while having fun. For questions about potential allergens, please contact the Crooked Lake Library at 763-324-1530.

Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations as outlined here. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate.
