Woodland Period Pottery and History

Woodland Period Pottery and History In-Person

Did you know that there were ceramic pots being made here in Minnesota THOUSANDS of years ago? Archaeologists have found ancient pots and pottery fragments all over the Midwest. Learn about the era in indigenous history that archaeologists call the “Woodland Period.” Participants will look at examples of early Indigenous ceramics and then try their hand at making a pot using some techniques and tools consistent with historic practice.
