Paint like the Masters: Gustav Klimt In-Person
This program is intended for ages 16 through adult. Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist and Art Nouveau painter who led a group of artists in what was referred to as the successionist movement. Even if you have never heard his name, his work has certainly shown up in your life! His rich use of real gold, his dreamy application of color, and his tender depiction of human relationships have all had a meaningful impact on art and culture. In this class, you will learn about the artist and then have a chance to paint in his style. Using acrylics instead of oils, we will learn how to create bold patterns, soft washes, and gold detailing. No previous painting experience is required to enjoy this painting program!
