Draw Some Little Guys: Dabble in Medieval Marginalia

Draw Some Little Guys: Dabble in Medieval Marginalia In-Person

This program is intended for youth ages 8-17 years. Medieval Marginalia is, essentially, the art of doodling done by medieval illustrators creating handwritten, hand-drawn books. No pencils, no erasing, just get in there with a quill pen and start making! In this class our teaching artist will provide nib pens similar to medieval quills, watercolor, ink, and a mix of papers that we can use to start practicing drawing our own weird little lads, cats (a favorite for medieval illustrators), florals and more! No previous drawing experience is required and we will leave with a stack of little dudes and other beautiful and curious creations drawn on small bookmark-sized papers.
