DESCRIPTION:Say goodbye to everything you thought you knew about the 
 traditional book club. The BYOB (Bring Your Own Book!) Book Club is an 
 alternative take on your standard book discussion group. Participating is 
 easy and the perfect solution for all those readers who can’t seem to 
 make a traditional book group stick. Simply show up having read a book that 
 falls into the given theme or prompt for the month and get chatting. No 
 more slogging your way through an assigned title you aren’t even 
 interested in reading!\n\nJoin the BYOB Book Club to talk about books in a 
 casual atmosphere\, connect with fellow readers\, and learn from different 
 perspectives. After each meeting\, we’ll email a list of the books that 
 were discussed.\n\nThe prompt for May is: Read a book by an Asian American 
 or Pacific Islander author in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander 
 (AAPI) Heritage Month \n\nNeed help picking a title? Get a recommendation 
 from library staff through The Librarian Recommends... ACL's virtual 
 Reader's Advisory service!\n\nUpcoming Months:\n\n \n\nJune 22nd: Sports\, 
 Trials\, & Competitions. Read a book that is about or features sports\, 
 trials\, or competitions in some way to go along with this year's Summer 
 Adventure theme: “Game On!”\n\nJuly 20th: Video Games\, Board Games\, & 
 Puzzles. Read a book that is about or features video games\, board games\, 
 or puzzles in some way to go along with this year's Summer Adventure theme: 
 “Game On!”\n\nAugust 17th: Read-A-Romance Month! Read a Romance book - 
 a fiction genre focused on a central love story between characters\, 
 featuring an emotionally satisfying and optimistic ending\, usually a 
 "Happily Ever After" (HEA) or "Happy For Now" (HFN)\n\nAnoka County Library 
 strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources\, 
 services\, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations 
 are available at many library locations as outlined here. Please call the 
 library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if 
 there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully 
 participate.
