Mixed Media Zines & Comics In-Person
This program is intended for youth ages 8 years and older. Zines are handmade, short-form magazines, booklets, comics, pamphlets, and tutorials manufactured using simple methods such as Xerox, laser jet, and screen printing. In this program, we will focus on making a ʻmasterʼ zine we can then produce an ʻeditionʼ from. Using collage techniques, pen and ink, and paper folding, we will craft spectacular, unique zines on whatever subject weʼre interested in! Our teaching artist will talk to us about how to reproduce our master copies in order to make an edition of zines we can share with others- or we can keep our zines as original, one-of-a-kind works of book art!
