Layered Acrylic Paitning:Reggie Laurent Style In-Person
This program is intended for youth aged 7 years and older. Come create a layered acrylic painting in the style of Reggie Laurent. Reggie is based in Atlanta, Georgia and works on black canvas, painting organic shapes and squiggles in white and then covering them in colored acrylic. Students will be given a 9” x 12” black canvas to work on. They will begin by sketching out their composition and then add white paint over their drawing to bring out their design. After completing the outline, they will be given acrylic paint to ‘color in’ the shapes. Participants will leave with a new, brightly patterned, colorful artwork!
