Seed Library & Container Gardening In-Person
Do you have a small space, poor soil, or face other challenges that stand in the way of successful gardening? If so, container gardening where you grow plants in pots and other containers, instead of in the ground, could be your solution. Join library staff and local gardening experts for container gardening and learning about the city of Fridley's new seed library at Mississippi Library! During this program we will learn the ins and outs of container gardening.
Among the many benefits of gardening with containers include: the low cost and low input required, the possibility of gardening in almost any location, the ease for people with disabilities or mobility problems, and the ability to start the growing season earlier in the spring. Containers add versatility to your garden and can bring in more flexibility in your gardening practice.
Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations as outlined here. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate.
