Intro to American Sign Language with Transparent Language In-Person

Did you know that you can learn hundreds of languages, including ASL, for free with Transparent Language?

Please join us for an all-ages session that will introduce you to tools available at the library to learn American Sign Language and about the Deaf culture. A library staff member will show you Transparent Language and other library resources. In addition, we will go over some basics like grammar, vocabulary, finger spelling, and commonly used phrases together.

Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations as outlined here. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate.
