The Anoka County Law Library hosts a criminal expungement clinic on the third Tuesday of each month.
No pre-registration is necessary.
Expungement is the process of filing a motion in court to request that a judge seal a court record. People request expungement when they have been denied employment, housing, or a professional license due to a criminal incident that appears on a background check.
Attend an informational session to determine whether you qualify financially to meet individually with an attorney to assess whether this is a realistic option for your situation. This is the best place to start the criminal expungement process and receive assistance.
Sessions start at 12:30 p.m. Please arrive by 12:00 p.m. Late arrival may prevent an individual from meeting with an attorney.
This is a walk-in clinic supported by Central Minnesota Legal Services.
Court forms will be provided to all registrants, or they can be picked up free of charge at the Anoka County Law Library.
