This adaptive class is designed for teens with disabilities. Participants will be paired with a peer buddy, creating a welcoming space where teens with and without disabilities can connect, socialize, and have fun together while learning a hands‑on nature activity.
In this workshop, teens will explore the world of native plants by creating their own seed bombs: small, clay‑based balls filled with Minnesota wildflower seeds. An instructor will guide the group step‑by‑step, showing examples, demonstrating techniques, and offering support throughout the process. Participants can customize their seed bombs with different designs and will learn how to use them to help support pollinators and local ecosystems.
A parent or caregiver should remain in the library while their teen participates.
Geared for grades 6-12, this program emphasizes creativity, connection, and shared discovery in an encouraging, sensory‑friendly environment.
If you are a teen interested in being a peer buddy for this program, please register for our Teen Service Opportunity.
