Teen Volunteer Opportunity: Seed Bomb Making In-Person

Do you like meeting new people?  Are you kind, patient, and accepting of people with all kinds of abilities?  We are looking for peer buddies to partner with teens with disabilities to do classes together. Buddies will take the class alongside a teen with disabilities with the goals of getting to know each other, learn together, and assist with participating in the program if needed.  Based on your buddy's abilities, you may need to help with fine motor skill actions like cutting or gluing, you may need to help them read directions, or you might just be a friend.
Meet with library staff to get a quick overview to being a buddy before being introduced to your partner for the class. Then have fun learning and creating together! This class is Seed Bomb Making. Explore how simple natural materials, clay, soil, and native wildflower seeds, can be combined to create seed bombs that help support pollinators and local ecosystems.

Teens can get community service hours for helping with this event.

No application or interview is required for this opportunity. Students must register online.  Registrants will get an auto-generated confirmation email and then a reminder email before the event.
