Mystery Bag Art Challenge In-Person

This program is intended for youth aged 6 years through adults.  Unleash your creativity with a surprise twist! Inspired by the show Chopped—but with art supplies instead of food. The Mystery Bag Art Challenge invites participants to create a unique "masterpiece" using a bag of mystery materials provided by the library.

Pick up a sealed bag filled with assorted craft supplies and found objects. The challenge is to create a one-of-a-kind artwork using the items inside, plus your own basic tools (tape, glue, scissors) and any extra art materials you’d like to add. Try to use most, if not all, of what’s in your bag.

Create anything you imagine—sculptures, collages, dioramas, mixed‑media pieces, and more! Finished artworks must be no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches so they can be displayed.

Registered ParticipantsMystery Bag pickup- anytime during open hours at Mississippi Library, beginning the week of June 8th and finished artwork must be returned by Thursday, July 2nd.

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – May contain small parts like buttons or beads. Not for children 5 years or under.
