SUMMARY:Grounded in History: How Geology Informs Today's Water Challenges
DESCRIPTION:Learn about how glaciers impacted the surface geology of Anoka
County! Geologist Carrie Jennings will describe how tunnels beneath ice
sheets and ice-dammed lakes left a legacy on our surface and
groundwater.\n\nAnoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors
are able to access library resources\, services\, and programs. Assistive
technology and program accommodations are available at many library
locations\, as outlined on our library accessibility page. Please call the
library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if
there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully
participate.\n\nWe Are Water MN is a project of the Minnesota Pollution
Control Agency and the Minnesota Humanities Center in partnership with the
Minnesota Historical Society\; the Board of Water and Soil Resources\; the
Minnesota Departments of Agriculture\, Health\, and Natural Resources\; and
University of Minnesota Extension. We are Water MN is paid for by the Clean
Water Fund\, part of the Clean Water\, Land\, & Legacy Amendment that was
created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4\, 2008.
