"Thank You for Shopping" Author Talk with Kristal Leebrick In-Person
As we celebrate Southdale Shopping Center's 70th anniversary, plan to take a nostalgic trip back to the glory days of department stores, when shops such as Dayton’s, Donaldson’s, Powers, and Young-Quinlan ruled the retail landscapes of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Kristal Leebrick, author of “Thank You for Shopping – The Golden Age of Minnesota Department Stores,” will present the history and stories behind these stores, which were once the centers of social life in the Twin Cities.
