Common Loon Watercolor Painting In-Person
This program is intended for youth in grades 1st through 8th. Learn how to draw Minnesota’s state bird—the Common Loon! A long-bodied, aquatic diving bird native to Minnesota and the Northern Hemisphere, known for their iconic, haunting calls. We will draw inspiration from John James Audubon, a self taught, French-American artist and naturalist who sought to document all the bird species on the North American continent. In this class, we will be using pencil and sharpie to draw the image outline, then add color with watercolor pencils.
