Watercolor Painting In-Person
This workshop will introduce the materials and techniques used in watercolor painting. Lessons will start with discussions and demonstrations on basic materials including paints and their characteristics, transparent layering, brush selection, and mark making techniques. Short skill lessons will teach strategies for incorporating basic painting techniques into compositionally strong art pieces. Participants will be encouraged to work from memory, photographs, or still life subjects. This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
