Creative Oasis Wellness Workshop In-Person

When we take care of our whole selves—mind, body, and soul—our wellness creates a ripple effect and impacts our communities as well. Join Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts Writer in Residence Sarah Ratermann Beahan for Creative Oasis, a monthly workshop created to let your curious, imaginative self out to play with other likeminded folx. The focus of each workshop is helping people connect with their creativity through different artistic modes- writing prompts, visual arts, creative movement, and music- with the main idea being that we are all creative and our lives are fuller when we connect with our creative side even if we don't consider ourselves artists. Activities will involve a mixture of writing or simple art prompts, mindfulness, play and a dose of reflection, all geared toward creating a healthier you and a healthier community. No experience or supplies required: just show up and allow yourself time for you. This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
