Papermaking at Home

Papermaking at Home In-Person

Want to break out of your comfort zone a bit and play around with something new? Learn how to easily make paper pulp at home! No need to break out the blender, all we’ll need is some recycled paper, some water, and couple of forks. An artist instructor will take us briefly through the history and science of papermaking and take us through the simple steps of breaking down recycled paper scraps and reconstituting them into new paper. Together we will make funky sheets of paper we can then use as cards to mail to our loved ones!

A quick note: This project is best done in a kitchen or outside- somewhere that its okay to get a bit wet! We will use the towels to minimize water spills but some water and pulp will inevitably get away from us.
