Notan Bugs Mixed Media In-Person

In order to participate in this class, registrants will need to arrange pickup of materials at the Rum River Arts Center by calling the center to arrange a pickup appointment, Monday through Friday, from 9am-6pm: 763-323-8830. Rum River Arts Center is located at 2665 4th Ave, Anoka MN 55303. Pickup will be in Suite #103, the cafe. Three flags will be outside the front door. RRAC is asking people to wear masks when entering the cafe. The materials will be provided at no cost to you.

Nōtan is a Japanese design concept involving the play and placement of light and dark elements as they are placed next to the other in the composition of art and imagery. They will choose their bug to create their notan design on mixed media paper. This program will be presented via Zoom, and registrants will be emailed an invitation link prior to the start. Ages 8+.

This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
