Manga means visual entertainment. It is a Japanese form of visual storytelling that dates back hundreds of years. Manga is a vehicle for generating stories out of the world around you. This workshop will introduce the history of Manga, the difference between Eastern and Western comics, and storytelling methods and structure. Participants will learn basic drawing to sequential narrative layout while making your own Manga. For grades 6 and up. Registration required. Youth must attend all sessions. Program will be held via Zoom.

This program is made available through the 2020 Minnesota Artist Initiative Grant received by Dennis Lo and he is offering the workshop for free as part of his grant project.
