Animation Flip Books Online

Ever had a scene in your head which would be "so flipping cool" if you could just get it drawn out? Learn the basics of hand drawn animation as you make your own flip book in this simple, fun class! Flip books are like your own personal movie or slideshow: drawing frame by frame, you can compose an entire animated scene. This class will teach students the basic steps for how to block out a scene and walk a character or object through it. We will cover basic drawing skills, storyboarding, and character design as we create 25-30 page flipbooks. Ages 6+.

This is a kit-based class, and participants will need to pick up their kit prior to the start of the program at Northtown Library. Kits should be available for pickup at the library about 1-2 weeks before the program date. Call the Northtown Library with questions at 763-324-1510.

This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
