Fused Glass Suncatchers Online

Glass has fascinated humans for millennia - this remarkable material is both beautiful and functional and can be manipulated in many different ways to create intriguing objects and works of art. Let's learn the basics of glass art with a glass artist who will explain the science of glass and glass fusing and lead us through the fun, colorful task of assembling a flat composition for ourselves using bits and pieces of glass included in the kit.

This is a supplies-based class for ages 12+. Supplies will be available for pickup at least one week ahead of the program date at Northtown Library. When the program is finished, participants will return their work to Northtown Library so it can be fired before being returned to participants. Northtown Library is located at 711 County Road 10 NE, Blaine, MN 55434. For questions, please call the Northtown Library at 763-324-1510.

This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
