CANCELLED: Encore at the Library: Intro to Birding In-Person
Join us for a walk around LaBelle Pond to identify and learn a bit about the birds in our neighborhood. August is a transition time for birds who raised families this past season, as well as some early migrants starting to head south. We will begin with a brief talk about how to train our eyes and ears, and then walk on a paved path. At the end, we will explore our creativity in capturing what we saw or heard with a short art exercise. Supplies provided. Parents welcome. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Entering Grades 4 and up. Registration required. This program takes place at LaBelle Park (1150 42nd Ave NE, Columbia Heights).
