A career counselor from the Anoka County Job Training Center is available for one-on-one assistance for job seekers such as resume help, searching and applying for jobs, and job skills training.  Information about job training and employment opportunities through MN Career Force will also be available. 

No registration required. Patrons will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Anoka County Job Training Center administers services to meet the needs of people in our community such as:

• Youth
• Laid off workers
• Seniors
• Unemployed and underemployed adults

Empowers: Youth/Young Adult Services Employment and Training services for youth and young adults, ages 14-24. Individualized services to explore careers, support training, and gain work experience through paid internships. 

Dislocated Worker Program Laid-off or permanently separated from employment? You may qualify to participate in one of our programs, which may provide job search assistance, short-term training, and/or support services tailored to each individual’s specific needs.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Employment and training program for low-income Anoka County residents 55 years or older. Provides part-time employment opportunities at community service worksites. 

Diversionary Work Program (DWP) Families applying for cash benefits receive intense job search assistance, case management, and program support for four consecutive months in a 12-month period. 

Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) Work-focused program that emphasizes economic stability for low-income families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
