Hand Stitch a Patchwork Tea Towel In-Person

Using various styles of decorative and functional stitching we will piece together a colorful, cottage-ready tea towel. We will use a mix of cotton and linen fabrics with a focus on fall-favorite patterns of gingham and plaid. We will have a selection of colorful cotton embroidery threads to choose from and our teaching artist will teach us some techniques related to needle threading, simple pattern planning, and other sewing skills that will allow us to assembe a bold work of functional fiber art.

This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
