Mini Archivist Program In-Person

Learn how to be the archivist of your own family collection. Taught by a real life archivist from the Anoka County Historical Society.

The Archivist of Anoka County Historical Society presents the Family Mini-Archive Program at Northtown Library in Blaine. The purpose of this program is to teach individuals how to start their own family archive and the value in starting one. This program is structured to give the participants a jumping off point to begin their archival journey in assembling, storing, and describing their family artifacts. There will be a short presentation that gives participants a brief background on the archival process followed by a hands-on component. They will be provided with a few archival materials and instructions on the use of these materials for a family archive. Participants are encouraged to bring with them a couple of family artifacts to the program to ensure that they leave with a personalized family archive and the knowledge to continue building it. Look forward to seeing you there!
