The Anoka County Law Library hosts a criminal expungement clinic on the third Tuesday of each month.
No pre-registration is necessary.
Expungement is the process of going to court to ask a judge to seal a court record. People request an expungement when they have been denied a job, housing, or a professional license because of a criminal incident that shows up on a background check.
Attend an informational session and see if you qualify financially to meet individually with an attorney regarding whether this is a realistic option for your situation. This is the best place to start the process for criminal expungement and get assistance with the process.
Sessions start at 12:30 p.m. Please arrive by 12:00 p.m. Late arrival may prevent an individual from meeting with an attorney.
This is a walk-in clinic supported by Central Minnesota Legal Services.
Court forms will be provided to all registrants, or they can be picked up for free at the Anoka County Law Library.
