Adaptive Teen Art: Colorful Dot Mandalas In-Person

This adaptive class is for teens with disabilities.  Participants will be paired with a peer buddy with the goal of connecting teens with and without disabilities to learn, socialize, and have fun together. 

  • A parent or caregiver should stay in the library while their teen participates in the program.

Explore the beauty of geometric patterns through the meditative art of creating mandalas. Learn how to use paints and markers to design a colorful dot mandala tote bag. The instructor will show an example of a completed project and students can experiment with a variety of different techniques and designs on paper before creating their canvas tote. Instructor will be present during the whole class to assist, encourage and support each participants creativity. Geared for grades 6-12th.
